If you're like me you were disappointed with Daft Punk's last release. I guess I was expecting much more of an album, but what we got was a straight up score for the film. The soundtrack had a few standouts like "Derezzed" and "Rinzler" which only gave us a taste of the classic Daft Punk we've been waiting for since Human After All.

Disney is giving it a second go with  R3CONFIGUR3D, which features remixes from Boys Noize, Kaskade, and Paul Oakenfold among others. I got a sneak peek of half the album earlier this week, which releases April 5th. I wouldn't say the remixes provide a drastic improvement to the original, no club bangers in this one, but they do provide an interesting soundtrack to late nights on the computer, a soundtrack for the cyberpunk.
